LFG Nachwuchswissenschaftler erfolgreich in der Emerging Talents Initiative
Dr. Saman Hosseipour, the group leader of the non-linear spectroscopy group in the institute of particle technology (LFG), is one of the recipients of this year’s Emerging Talents Initiative (ETI) grant. Saman’s research is focused on studying molecules at surfaces and interfaces, using an inherently surface sensitive spectroscopic tool, Sum Frequency Generation (SFG) Spectrosocpy. In this particular ETI project, Saman and his team will look into the adsorption of small organic molecules on the solid surfaces, from a molecular point of view. The obtained knowledge based on this project would be applicable in various fields including corrosion protection, adhesion and lubrication, biodegradable materials, heterogeneous catalysis, and thin film transistors.
